Case Study: Bank of America Mobile Banking Solution

“Supporting communities impacted by disaster”

Bank of America is an American multinational banking and financial services corporation headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the second largest bank holding company in the United States.

When a disaster occurs, it can interrupt access to many services that residents rely on as they go about their daily lives. That is why government agencies as well as private sector companies have set up Rapid Response teams to ensure access to their services are restored as quickly as possible.

“If we have banking centers that are unable to operate because of a disaster, whatever it may be, and literally cannot open our doors to support customers, then we’ll do all we can to ensure customers have their immediate needs satisfied,” said Caroline Bradberry, Senior Vice President for Consumer and Small Business Banking Readiness and Response at Bank Of America. “Typically, in an emergency, it’s access to cash and working with those needs.”

When this nation-leading financial institution wanted to make sure they were always “mission ready” to provide banking services for folks in need during a disaster, Bank of America put their full trust in Kentucky Trailer Specialty Vehicles (KTSV) Group. KTSV was contracted to design, build and deliver the ultimate fleet of Mobile Banking solutions. The result: two versatile models of mobile bank solutions, designed and purpose-built for rapid deployment, anywhere in the country. First, a fleet of 43ft long, 690sqft, expandable custom semi-trailers, outfitted with all the banking equipment necessary to respond to client’s needs was built, followed by the largest available 53ft long,1,000sqft mobile bank unit.

With this fleet of cutting-edge, fully self-sufficient “go-anywhere” mobile units, each complete with exterior, walk-up ATM’s and ADA compliant ramps, Bank of America stands ready to support customers emergency banking needs during a crisis.
